My rating of Harry Potter Movies

Any commentary made on Harry Potter is never old. Well, after watching all the DVDs again and serious thought, recently I came out with a rating of Harry Potter movies. The best in my view through the badly handled one at no.8.

1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 1
Beautifully done. No where we find any wrong interpolations in the story. Though perhaps it is the only movie in the history with no beginning and no end.

2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Undoubtedly a wonderful masterpiece which introduced the magical world of Harry Potter to us.

3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Undoubtedly another wonderful masterpiece. Another excursion into the magical experience.

4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Very complicated. Surely the novel is a lot funny while the movie is gloomy. The movie gives wrong signals about the aftermath of Harry Potter's name coming out of the Goblet of Fire.

5. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Actually we don't major changes in the story, but it leaves us with many doubts. It doesn't clarify even basic facts about the story unless we read the novel.

6. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Certain unnecessary changes are made in the story, but they actually don't disturb the essential facts.

7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2
Wondeful 3D experience, certain healthy changes to the story in a couple of places which makes the story better than the original. But sadly the main battle between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort was handled wrongly. Even we see no use of invisibility cloak, things like physical touch, undesired chasing, Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort sensing the destruction to Horcruxes; especially these mistakes become unpardonable in the climax scenes.
It's a wonderful movie, but sadly I couldn't give a better rating.

8. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
We can keep listing the flaws in the movie. We find serious violations in the wizarding rules. Right from the beginning of the story line, unnecessary scenes were invented while essential scenes were eliminated. Albus Dumbledore visiting the Privet Drive could have turned a great asset with its comic element which was sadly avoided.

P.S. My rating, apparently, takes the story in the Books of HP as the basis.
